Technology Laboratory Department, Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado
Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado is a polytechnic institute under the auspices of the Ministry of Health (MOH) the Republic of Indonesia, granting a Professional Higher Education in Health. Nowadays, MOH’s Polytechnic Manado consists of four Diploma-4 programs: Environmental Health, Nutrition, Midwifery, and Nursing. MOH Polytechnic Manado also consists of seven Diploma-3 programs: Nursery, Midwifery, Nutrition, Environmental Health, Pharmacy, Dental Health, and Technology Laboratory.
One of the missions at the Technology Laboratory Department Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado is to develop research and provide services to the public about Malaria and Tuberculosis. To carry out this mission, The Technology Laboratory Department has some laboratories:
- Parasitology Laboratory; A laboratory designed as a learning laboratory for malaria plasmodium, supported by standard preparation of 4 types of plasmodium.
- Hematology Laboratory; A laboratory capable of checking manual or automatic inspection, so that students are not only able to master the inspection principle based on manual method, but also able to recognize inspection using automatic tool.
- Bacteriology and Molecular Biology Laboratory; A representative laboratory providing an interesting learning experience about bacteriology and molecular biology for students, equipped with sophisticated tools to support the achievement of a learning program.
- Chemistry Laboratory; A laboratory that is equipped with various chemicals and modern instruments to support a lot of qualitative and quantitative tests to support the learning process.
